MIASF & Informa Markets Preview RefitX 2027, the Official Refit Event of FLIBS, at Friday Press Conference

WHAT: The Marine Industries Association of South Florida (MIASF) and Informa Markets offer an official first look at RefitX 2027, the new conference and exhibition dedicated to the yacht refit industry, during an exclusive press conference at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show (FLIBS). "Introducing RefitX 2027: The Vision, The Industry, The Opportunity" features:
- Phil Purcell, CEO and president of MIASF
- Andrew Doole, president of U.S. Boat Shows at Informa Markets
- Joel Shine, chief commercial officer of Derecktor Shipyards
- Tim Kershaw, director of sales, Delta Marine
Speakers share the vision behind RefitX, why the refit sector needs a dedicated platform and what attendees can expect from its inaugural edition, followed by a media Q&A.
RefitX debuts Oct. 27–28, 2027, during FLIBS 2027 as the show's official refit event. Two days of programming cover refit project management, technology and innovation, sustainability, workforce development and industry insights, alongside exhibits and dedicated networking for shipyards, captains, owner representatives, designers, engineers and technology providers. Speakers also outline how companies can exhibit, sponsor, speak or take part.
